Guard rail lubrication
Lubrication using drilled channels through the guard rail
The wheel sensor in the track is counting wheels and is connected to the controller. Once the desired number of wheels is counted, the controller activates the pump until the piston detector from the metering device returns a signal. The metering device serves a certain number of drilled channels through the guard rail with the same amount of grease. The grease gets picked up by the wheel back faces when running along the guard rail.
In this way, the wear and noise on the so treated guard rail gets reduced, but also on guards rails further down the track.
