Phosphated CV-Joint

The CV-Joint has a very exposed position, constantly affected by water and dirt which could lead to rust and corrosion on the surface of the CV-Joints.
Corroded and rusty CV-Joints will result in poor fitment of the boot and could cause foreign particles to enter the boot – thus also the CV-Joint. A corroded CV-Joint could also lead to a damaged ABS-ring.

Most of SKF CV-Joints are phosphatized. Phosphatizing is a process of local zinc-treatment to avoid rust. The treatment results in a dark-grey colour of the CV-Joint and ensures a longer lifespan of the product, even in the most polluted environment.
