Environmental performance monitoring and reporting
We place actions as foundation of sustainability and environmental efforts, and therefore performance monitoring and reporting are of great importance. They represent the bar we must clear to achieve our objectives as well as providing proof that our strategy is effective. Our defined targets – many of which apply globally – include water and metal consumption and our use of Volatile Organic Compound material.

Responsible sourcing
as part of our overall responsible sourcing approach, all major suppliers to SKF are required to achieve (or have a credible plan to achieve) ISO 140001 certification? Since 2007, energy intensive suppliers have also been required to report on energy use carbon emissions and their management of this issue.
