Gothenburg, Sweden – 08 May, 2013: SKF today announced that for the 13th successive year, the FTSE Group confirms that the SKF Group has been independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good criteria, and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series.
SKF defines its entire sustainability focus as SKF Care, which encompasses Business Care, Environmental Care, Employee Care and Community Care. In May last year, SKF announced targets for their new climate strategy and the WWF acknowledged that these targets were sector leading by partnering with the SKF Group in their Climate Savers Programme.
The SKF climate strategy includes aggressive targets for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for SKF, its suppliers and logistics operations, as well as from its customer solutions. These customer solutions are included in the SKF BeyondZero portfolio, which defines solutions, which improve energy efficiency, reduce green house gas emissions, and support more environmentally friendly energy production.
