Vibration analysis

It is possible to detect bearing failure by vibration analysis. To do this it is necessary first to determine the typical bearing defect frequencies. Every time a defect is overrolled it causes a peak in the vibration signal. The repetition of these peaks depends on the position of the defect on the bearing (inner or outer ring or on a rolling element, etc.) and the bearing geometry and speed.
Use the Bearing frequencies calculation to calculate frequencies that may arise from a rotating bearing.
