Adjusted bearing system

In an adjusted bearing system, the shaft is located axially in one direction by one bearing arrangement and in the opposite direction by the other. This system is referred to as crosslocated and is generally used for short shafts. The most suitable bearings are:
  • angular contact ball bearings (fig. 1)
  • tapered roller bearings (fig. 2)
