Axlebridge designs for low-floor tramways

Low-floor LRVs (light rail vehicles) require lightweight design for structural components, due to the demands of high transport capacity on the one hand, and additional weight coming from air conditioning and other components of a modern LRV on the other. Another requirement that becomes more and more important is reduced maintenance. A task that is also very important for system suppliers of rail vehicles is standardisation and modularisation to fulfil customer demands within a short time and at a reasonable cost. Based on these requirements, the development of the axlebridge was carried out very successfully.
