Pressed steel plummer block housings

Pressed steel plummer block housings can be combined with different insert bearing designs according to table 1.
Pressed steel housings are to be ordered separately from the insert bearings. The individual items that make up a ball bearing unit are:
  • the two-part housing
  • the insert bearing
  • the rubber seating ring (optional)

The advantage of ordering individual components is that a large number of combinations is possible.

Pressed steel plummer block housings (fig. 1) are made of chromium6+ free sheet steel and zinc-coated for corrosion protection. They are designed for simple applications with limited loads and speeds. These P series housings have two round holes for attachment bolts and no relubrication feature.

Rubber seating rings

Rubber seating rings made of NBR in the RIS 2 series (fig. 2) are available for pressed steel plummer blocks in a specific size range (→ Plummer block housings for insert bearings, Ball bearing plummer block units).
For detailed information about rubber seating rings, refer to Rubber seating rings within the insert bearing section.
