Joint factory venture with WISCO Heavy

SKF has announced a joint venture contract with Wuhan Iron & Steel Heavy Industry Group Co (WISCO Heavy). The contract aims to establish a joint factory in Wuhan, which provides remanufacturing service for metal and other related industries.

WISCO Heavy is the key member of WISCO (Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp.), which produces components and complete sets of mining and metallurgical machinery equipment for the global market.

Vartan Vartanian, President of SKF Regional Sales and Service said, "We have been a partner of WISCO (Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp.) for many years. Through the new joint venture, which is another strategic service centre in China, SKF will further assist WISCO in enhancing equipment reliability, extending the production time and promote the production efficiency.“

Zhangxiang, Vice General Manager, Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp said "We focus on improving productivity and reducing negative environmental impact, where we hope to collaborate with partners with rich expertise and experience. SKF has extensive knowledge in remanufacturing and maintenance and is an essential partner in our joint venture."
