Delhi Police Seizes 6.2 Million Worth Spurious Bearings

Economic Wing of Delhi Police seized substantial quantities of counterfeit bearings, holographic pouches and packaging materials of SKF make from two shops and three godowns at Kashmere gate area of Delhi. 

The shops raided were Jyoti Sales Corporation and Shiva Bearings. The total value of the seizure is approximately Rs 6.2 million. Police arrested the owners of the two units Pankaj Gupta, Ashish Kumar and Subhash Goswamy. 

The raids busted the racket behind the spurious bearings trade. Along with bearings police also seized sealing equipment and machine used to print SKF logo on cheap quality bearings.

The bearing industry is extending its full cooperation to the police, to enable them to track down the counterfeiters and taking action against them in accordance with the provisions of the Copyright Act 1957, and the Trade Marks Act 1999.
