Carl Orstadius, Managing Director - SKF India Ltd.Carl Orstadius has been associated with the SKF Group for over three decades and brings with him a rich global experience of working in a multitude of leadership roles.
Carl has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and joined SKF as a trainee in the finance department in 1987. Within the first year, he had the opportunity to work in Panama, Colombia and Venezuela before taking on the role of Finance Manager for SKF vehicle parts in Gothenburg in 1989.
Carl took on the role of Area Controller of SKF Latin America from 1992 to 1996 and then went on to take charge as the Managing Director and Sales Manager for SKF Peru from 1996 to 1998.
Between 1998 and 1999, he spearheaded the reorganization of area logistics and sales units in Argentina as the Project Manager SKF Latin America. Thereafter, over the next five years, he successfully handled responsibilities as Area Director SKF Service Division for Latin America. In 2004, he took on the profile of a Division Controller of SKF Industrial Division.
Carl took on the role of the Managing Director of SKF Sweden in 2006. Additionally, he was responsible for eight business units in Sweden, UK and USA as Cluster Manager-Self Aligning Bearings and led 2300 employees. His profile also encompassed product and business development for one of the most prestigious bearing product lines. His role as the Managing Director of SKF Sweden enabled him to gain insights into the union and government relations as well.
From 2011 till 2018 he held the position of Business Area Controller for SKF Automotive. In the Automotive and Aero business, in addition to the controlling function, he was also at the helm of the Supply Chain, Investments and Integrated Cost Reductions. He has been a driving force behind the Automotive Turn-Around Plan that delivered significant improvements to the operating margins annually.
Carl assumed charge as the Managing Director of SKF India Limited with effect from April 01, 2018.
Carl enjoys sports, especially soccer but trying to understand cricket, as well as movies and literature.
Chandramowli Srinivasan, Director – FinanceChandramowli is responsible for the overall finance, accounting and reporting, treasury, taxation, legal and corporate governance functions for SKF India. He has been heading this function since 2009.
Chandramowli has held a wide range of positions at SKF. He served as Internal Auditor and the Manufacturing Controller for the Asia Pacific Division in 1997, following which he assumed the role of a Business Controller and Director of SKF, Indonesia, in 1999. He also headed operations of the Bangalore factory as a Factory Manager from 2004 to 2007.
Prior to joining SKF, Chandramowli has worked at AF Ferguson and Co. and KSB Pumps Ltd.
Chandramowli is a Chartered Accountant by profession.
He is currently also President of the Council of EU Chambers of Commerce in India. In 2016 , he was named by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants as one of India’s Most Influential CFOs
Anjali Byce, Director - HRAnjali Byce is Director Human Resources at SKF India. Her thrust has been in driving change through multiple Business transformation programs, implementation of a culture based HR Strategy, capability building, Six Sigma and diversity initiatives to name only a few.
Her experience in HR spans across manufacturing, insurance and R&D companies, as well as start-up, acquisition and turn-around companies. She has worked with Tata Motors, Allianz Bajaj Life Insurance Co, Cummins and Thermax. In her role, she has handled multiple functional excellence areas including sales, strategic HR, industrial relations, organizational development, learning and development, corporate social responsibility, health, safety and environment and administration.
Anjali Byce was named as one of the 100 Most talented Global HR Leaders by CHRO Asia, Most Influential HR Leader in India and Women Super Achiever by World HRD Congress. She is a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) National Committee on Industrial Relations and convener of CII HR & IR Council in Pune. She is a former President of National Human Resource Development Network Pune chapter. Anjali is a member of Beyond Diversity’s ‘Diversity & Inclusion Forum’ for South-East Asia and India which focuses on Diversity advocacy in the country.
She is a member on the Academic Advisory Board in Human Resource Management at MIT School of Management (MITSOM), Pune.
Anjali has completed the Masterclass for Directors from Institute of Directors. She is an alumnus of IMD ( Lausanne ), and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Psychology from Lady Shri Ram College ( Delhi), Master degree in Applied Psychology from Delhi University (with a thesis on Psychological Contracting), PGDHRD from Symbiosis Centre for HRD – Pune and an Advanced Certificate in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
Shrikant Savangikar, Director - Business Excellence, Quality, Sustainability and CSRShrikant is responsible for ensuring Business Excellence, Quality systems and a Sustainable approach to all parts of SKF’s business in the country.
Shrikant has held various roles at SKF during his career like Channel Manager, ABU Factory Manager, and Vice President & Factory Manager – Pune Factory, before taking up his current role. As Factory Manager, he played a major role in turning around the ABU factory to profitability by bringing about innovations in business, technology transfers and product quality upgrades to global levels. His emphasis on business and manufacturing excellence during this turnaround period truly marked him out as the most suitable person for his current role. Shrikant has endeavoured to bring global best practices as regards business excellence and quality to SKF India through his benchmarking visits to Toyota Japan, Scania , SKF Brazil among others. As a leader of sustainability initiatives, his achievements include leading a benchmark country project “Susten” at SKF India resulting benchmark results as regards CO2 emissions year over year since last 4 years, also launched Solar Mission with installation of 2 MW roof top solar plants at SKF Locations.
He has lead the teams in SKF India to win various awards such as AD Benchmark Factory awards from SKF group, National Productivity Championship award from IMTMA and various external awards from Six Sigma and Kaizen competitions in India. He has lead SKF India to win first global “SKF- WWF Climate saver award” in 2014 as part of SKF Excellence awards and many other sustainability awards.
Prior to SKF, Shrikant has worked at Crompton Greaves and NRB Bearings. Over the years he has built a reputation as an outstanding leader with a keen eye for quality and excellence.
Shrikant holds a B.E (Production) degree with distinction from V.J.T.I, Mumbai University and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer applications from Marathwada University along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. His hobbies include reading literature, Indian classical music and appreciation of performing arts.
Shoaib Shaikh, Director - Automotive Sales – Asia & India ( OEM & After market)Shoaib is responsible for developing brand SKF in the automotive sector for OEMs as well as in the after marker segment. He is also in-charge of ensuring a growth in sales and market share in Asia. Shoaib is based in Singapore and handles the Asia region from Japan to India excluding China.
Besides being a part of the Global management team, Shoaib is also an active member of the India management team with the objective of providing a strategic direction to the business. Shoaib has been with SKF since 2004. Prior to that he has worked in a diverse set of industries like Pennzoil India, Mudra Communications and Godrej Soaps.
Shoaib has an MBA degree from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. He has also attended management and strategy programs at Indian School of Business, IIM Bangalore, Singapore University and the China European Business School.
Rajesh Thantry, Managing Director - Lincoln Helios LtdRajesh heads Lincoln Helios, which is SKF’s lubrication business subsidiary in India. He is responsible for the overall profitability and growth of this business in the country. He has been in this role since July 2016.
Rajesh is a high energy leader, who has held numerous management roles at SKF since he joined the group in 1997. He has rich experience in the Industrial businesses, specifically in Railway, Off-highway, Defence, Renewable Energy, Machine tool, Medical & Healthcare, and Industrial drives. He has been able to build on this experience to steer the lubrication business in the right direction. Rajesh has also worked in diverse cultures as the Business Unit Head – SKF Railway & Off-Highway Sales ,South Korea and as Corporate Account Director for SKF USA.
Prior to SKF, he has worked with Crompton Greaves.
Rajesh is a Mechanical Engineer by training.
Mandar Vaidya, Vice President – Material, SKF India and Global Category Manager - Group Purchase at SKFMandar is responsible for laying out and implementing roadmaps for improving SKF’s procurement strategies in India and aligning them with the SKF group globally. He has been with SKF since 2003.
Mandar has a vast experience of over 30 years in purchase and procurement planning. He has used this to ensure that SKF has some of the best global procurement practices by leveraging volumes and developing multiple procurement sources. Mandar has also used his knowledge of pricing, efficient vendor and contract management to align SKF India with the groups global strategies. He has built his experience in the procurement domain while rising through the ranks. He assumed charge of Global Category Manager for SKF Group in 2011 and Vice President – Materials in 2016.
Prior to SKF, he has worked with the Mahindra Group.
Mandar is a Mechanical Engineer and an ICWA.
