Carboxylated Nitriles (XNBR or CNBR) are nitrile compounds with an additional carboxyl crosslink sight in the polymer chain. This addition to the nitrile polymer provides benefits such as improved abrasion resistance and fluid resistance. Carboxylated Nitrile has excellent toughness, wear resistance and resistance to fluids. C-7001 is a 70 shore A category material, suitable for use in compression seal applications requiring the toughness of XNBR. It is commonly used for T-seals and Z-seal lips. Carboxylated Nitriles have very good high temperature resistance but are not well suited to use in cold temperatures. Recommended application range is -18°C to +135°C (0°F to +275°F).
