Ring-line lubrication system for tram and metro vehicles

SKF EasyRail Airless operates through output of the lubricant via electromagnetic pumps, whereby the lubricants are applied in a defined quantity on the wheel flange without use of compressed air.

Each pump-nozzle unit is equipped with a heating system helping to ensure the delivery of lubricant even under challenging weather conditions. According to operational requirements, three different nozzle designs can be offered for installation. Customized solutions are available upon request. A KFG piston pump serves as lubricant reservoir and re-circulation unit.
The electromagnetic pumps squirt pre-metered, very small quantities of lubricant at high frequencies onto the wheel flange, back-face or even directly onto the top of rail.


SKF EasyRail Airless systems are used on tramway or light rail vehicle systems and metros, where compressed air supply is not available.

When squirting onto the wheels (typically in curves), the vehicle speed should be 30 to 70 km/h, depending on the kind of selected lubricant.
