On-line monitoring systems

SKF’s on-line monitoring systems provide automated machinery monitoring for up-to-the-minute information to help you optimise the operation of key production assets.

On-line systems complement the use of periodic data collection instruments, facilitating a proactive approach to reliability with round-the-clock monitoring of machinery in harsh, remote, unsafe or difficult to reach locations.

Collecting data 24 hours per day, seven days per week from permanently installed sensors, the system transmits data to a host computer running SKF @ptitude Monitoring Suite Software.

SKF Multilog On-line system TMU - CMMA 7720

The Multilog on-line system TMU is a compact three-channel surveillance device designed to monitor critical production assets ranging from machine tool spindles to pulp refiners.

The Multilog TMU on-line data acquisition device is the heart of a versatile and powerful monitoring system designed for a wide variety of industrial applications. The system automatically collects dynamic (e.g. vibration) and process machinery data from permanently installed sensors and evaluates them against user-defined alarm conditions.

The Multilog TMU also has the ability to protect machines against catastrophic failures by constantly monitoring any or all channels for sudden shocks or crashes. Upon detection of a shock or crash, the TMU immediately activates its digital output and can be connected to the machine's control system for immediate shutdown or unloading.
