Laser marking machines

The standard method for marking metal parts such as bearings is etching:

  • No additional washing operation, no acid disposal
  • Marking capabilities virtually unlimited

All laser marking DAO machines are full automatic and have pre-programmed support for the SKF D10 Standard & Practices marking specification and consist of three functional parts; namely the laser system, the handling system and the MMI (Man Machine Interface).

The laser system is a commercial unit, type StarMark, from the company Baasel Lasertech GmbH, who provides world wide support. The MMI is a SKF specific development to support SKF marking specifications in an easy way. The MMI is based on Microsoft Windows and requires no mouse to operate it.

In general every application is possible with different handling and software solutions. Metallurgical tests have also been performed in order to verify that marking with standard parameters are within specifications.
