The HP91 performs high voltage insulation tests including AC Hipot, DC Hipot and the insulation resistance (IR) test. It is intended for production, repair or compliance testing of motors, transformers, appliances, cable assemblies or other electrical appliances. The HP91 is a high power instrument capable of testing large, high capacitance devices with up to 100 mA of leakage current. It can be used as a stand alone insulation tester, with the optional HVS8 High Voltage 8 Channel Switch or combined with other test instruments into an automated test system.
The HP91 has many user friendly features which make it easy to operate, safe and dependable. The output voltage, ramp rate and test time are programmable. The test is terminated quickly if the programmable trip current is exceeded. It has programmable high and low pass/fail limits. Any combination of tests can be automatically performed using the 50 programmable Sequencing files with up to 50 tests per file. The tester can be programmed to pause between tests. The tester has a standard RS-232C port for automatic programming, control and test data transfer. The IEEE-488 port is optional. The standard I/O interface allows the tester to be controlled by an external device such as a PLC.
The HP91 can be combined with up to two HVS8 High Voltage Switches for a total of 16 programmable outputs. The HVS8 is controlled by the HP91. The outputs can be configured for high voltage, ground or open.
The tester has safe front and rear panel high voltage connectors, warning lamps and an audible fail buzzer. The LCD screen and analog voltmeter display the measurement parameters and test results. |
