SKF (U.K.) Limited ABERDEEN Division's condition monitoring product range is spearheaded by SKF Polymanager - a powerful and flexible condition monitoring package designed to provide the user with an easy to use interface and a wide variety of graphical displays and reports. In addition to vibration data, the system also makes use of envelope analysis for rolling element bearings and phase current analysis for electric motors.
All the latest developments in user-interface design have been incorporated into the software, including full use of 'drag-and-drop', multiple overlapping windows, and use of outline-tree representations of the database, with local (pop-up) menus allowing fast access to primary functions for all database elements.
SKF Polymanager allows you to set up a structured database that matches the organisation of your plant, with machines ordered into any number of sub-divisions within each plant. In addition to basic vibration data, you can collect and view envelope data for analysing rolling element bearings, phase current readings for analysing the electrical condition of asynchronous electric motors, and simple process readings from your plant. Also recently added is support for inspection readings and dynamic process readings for taking DC voltage readings.
SKF Polymanager also fully supports the dual channel DI-225 and DC-460 data collectors from SKF CMC Livingston (formerly Diagnostic Instruments), including orbit plots (with order filtering), dual time or spectrum plots, and cross channel phase. Dual channel set up and plots are fully integrated into the application, with appropriate entries in all reports and new graph types including orbit and polar plots, making it a simple routine to collect this advanced data.
The SKF Polymanager main window allows you to view the database in a hierarchical format, with use of graphical icons to represent each object within the database; as an alternative, these icons can be replaced by status indicators, which give you at-a-glance information about the status of any data in the database. A preview window can be shown alongside the database outline, allowing you to quickly review the latest readings from any machine.
Any number of graphical display windows can be launched in Polymanager; these can show individual signature (time waveform or frequency spectrum) plots, orbit plots, waterfall plots, trend plots (both overall and spectral band), polar plots (magnitude and phase values at orders) and polar trend plots (allowing you to trend the magnitude and phase along orders). You can customise all display parameters, including colours and what information to show on the graph. All graphs can be printed, copied to the clipboard, included in reports and printed in formatted layouts using a Batch Print Manager utility.
Powerful reports are available from this software, incuding exception reports, last-monitored date reports, reports on most recent data and tabular reports allowing for instant view of monitoring interval and machine status. Reports are fully customisable and users can define new report formats in addition to the twenty four reports that are shipped along with the software.
SKF Polymanager includes an integrated Route Manager module, which allows for easy transfer of data between your PC and data collector. Polymanager uniquely supports the full range of SKF CMC Livingston data collectors, including the PL31, PL33, PL302, DI-1100, DI-1100 IS and DI-225-D and DI-460 data collectors, and the current SKF Microlog and Marlin range* (including the new GX). Both tour and off-tour data are supported, and all data uploaded is stored in temporary holding files which can be emailed to other locations to allow the maintenance of remote databases.
* Collectors supported include the CMVA-10, CMVA-30, CMVA-60 and CMXA-50 Micrologs, the CMXA-50 and CMXA-51 IS, the Microlog GX, and the CMVA-4600 and DI-225-PQ based Marlins. |
