The heating pump

Heat pumps offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners using electricity to move heat from a cool space into a warm, making the cool space cooler and the warm space warmer.

How it works

  • Water and non-toxic additives circulate into geothermal exchangerbelow ground
  • The warmed liquid flow through an exchanger (evaporator) heating a refrigerant that evaporate
  • The refrigerant is compressed by a DC scroll compressor increasing his temperature
  • The heat is donated via a second exchanger (condenser) to the heating and sanitary waters
  • The pressure of the refrigerant is lowered by an expansion valve. Than it return to the evaporator unit to get new energy from the warm water from the underground
  • The internal heating systems can be of any type (floor pipes, radiators, electric fan or air units)
  • In the case of reversible heating pump the cycle is the opposite i.e. heat is pumped out
  • The cooling is done linking the thermal exchangers to the internal system or inverting the running cycle of the machine
  • In the case of air-water heating pump, the exchangers (radiators type) are located in an outside unit where a fan pump the air to convey heat to the circuit
