Summary

Mark Tarbet is currently a PDM Specialist Principal for Fossil Engineering Support at Luminant Power of Dallas Texas.  Luminant is a competitive power generation, mining, and wholesale electricity business.

Mark is currently the corporate PDM vibration lead for 12 coal units, 6 gas units, 15 gas turbines, and 7 lignite mines (including 15 large draglines and 17 miles of conveyor systems).  He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri–Rolla and is a registered professional engineer in the states of Kansas and Texas.  He holds an ISO Category IV Vibration Certification, ISO Category II Machinery Lubrication Analyst Certification, and an ASNT Level I Thermography Analysis Certification.  His 31 years of experience includes 8 years in the turbine and generator diagnostics group of Westinghouse Power Generation Service Division, 11 years as a consultant with Radian Corporation (where he acted as chief vibration analyst for the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company), and the past 12 years with Luminant Power.
