SKF continues to make the motorcycle world "turn"

This past weekend during the ASI Motocross Show in Imola (Italy) commemorative plaques were given to the five great Swedish champions that dominated the world motocross competitions from 1955-1965.

The commemorative SKF plaques were given to Bill Nilsson, Sten Lundin, Rolf Tibblin, Torsten Hallman, Gunnar Johansson for their loyalty to their Swedish motorcycle brands of Husqvarna, Lito and Monark that made and continue to make great motocross history worldwide.

The event came at the end of the the ASI Motocross Show, which took place at Imola, Italy (close to Bologne) from May 25 - 27. It is a new event organized on the historical circuit of Imola, where the Italian motocross was born and where the European and World Championships took place between 1948 and 1965.

For over 100 years, SKF has participated in motorcycle races and raceways worldwide, bringing all of its engineering knowledge and the most sophisticated technological solutions to the circuits. The new high performance products for the off-road sector, such as the fork seals for motorcycles currently on the market, are a tangible example of this.
