Rail lubrication through lubrication holes for trams and metros
The wheel sensor in the track is counting wheels and is connected to the controller. Once the desired number of wheels got counted, the controller opens the valve and activates the pump until the piston detector from the metering device returns a signal.
Each metering device meters the incoming lubricant and supplies a precise small amount of lubricant to each lubrication channel.
In case of tracks embedded in the street, the metering device and the hose connections to the drilled lube holes are protected by steel boxes.
