Paula - Sales & Marketing
In 2005, Paula’s career at SKF started as a trainee working in the LAM regional office. Today she is a Project Manager in our Buenos Aires office with broad responsibilities within the business area SKF Reliability Systems. We asked Paula how her career at SKF has developed.

"As a trainee, I was employed as a Business Support and Quality Analyst. My work involved developing Standard Control Processes Applications in order to standardise best practices within service contracts in the LAM area. This was an extremely interesting experience from many perspectives. I worked in every country within LAM, interacted with every business area in these countries and visited all their service contract holders in order to gather information on best practice scenarios."

What does your current role involve?

"My main job activities are managing services contracts at the customers site, both from a commercial and technical perspective. I am also responsible for the implementation of the technical scope of work within contracts, measuring benefits and communicating value to customers and of course, renewing contracts."

What is the most enjoyable part of your job?

"Keeping the SKF team and the customer satisfied. This responsibility and seeing business and people develop give me great personal and professional motivation."

How do you see your future within SKF?

"I see my future at SKF within the Reliability Systems business. It is an area that is in a state of continuous growth, it is dynamic and there is a constant demand for improvement – all these points ensure this area is always challenging and I find that an attractive career prospect."

You’ve been at SKF from the ‘ground up’ so to speak. How would you describe the company culture?

"SKF shows commitment - to employees, society and the environment. It is a people-oriented company committed to innovation, knowledge engineering and ultimately, customer satisfaction. In other words, it’s a great place to build a career if you’re ambitious and really care about what you do."
