Handle combined loads with increased reliability

The cost-effective and simple design of the four-row tapered roller bearings offers a functional solution in various rolling mill configurations. Sealed versions are also available for grease and oil + air lubrication methods and for high-speed rolling.

For increased axial loads four-row bearings can be complemented with a separate two-row tapered roller thrust bearing. The combination can support heavy thrust loads in both directions.

Screw-down bearings are placed beneath adjustment screws to transmit the rolling force into the mill frame. They can be tailored to meet customer requirements in specific applications.

SKF Explorer four-row tapered roller bearings provide optimum stress distribution over the roller/raceway contacts. The four separate cup design and optimized  profile of the sliding surfaces of the guide flange and large roller ends promote lubricant film formation in the roller end/flange contacts, providing many operational benefits:
