In order to assemble the uprights of any kind of racing cars with the main chassis and the suspension you need to connect these parts using bushings, plain bearings, rod ends and/or spherical roller bearings.

While plain bearings or bushings are mostly used for space needs, rolling element bearings can be used, in order to reduce friction and to improve the handling, in top performing applications such as Formula 1 and LeMans prototypes. These bearings are made according to aerospace manufacturing standards and are based on full-complemented deep groove ball bearings or self aligning ball and rollers bearings, sealed or open.
