Pulp & Paper Practices Newsletter

Pulp and Paper Practices issue 22

Published three times a year, SKF’s Pulp & Paper Practices technical newsletter is designed for engineers and maintenance staff working in the pulp, paper and converting industries. Written by specialists in their fields, the newsletter is full of practical information and helpful advice, with each issue covering different aspects of machine maintenance and reliability.

In this edition, SKF engineer Philippe Gachet looks at one of the paper industry’s unsung heroes: industrial fans. These frequently overlooked systems are nevertheless vital, and if they go wrong they can cause serious problems and production delays. Phillippe will be talking about common causes of fans running too hot, and discusses how to mount CARB bearings on a fan without using a hydraulic nut.
