About the speaker:

Mike Fischer is currently based in Houston as President of the Light Turbines Group for Wood Group Gas Turbine Services – responsible for the development and growth of global after market gas turbine overhaul services. He has a broad career based on operations and maintenance of running machinery in a variety of environments: marine, oilfield, industrial, power generation, nuclear, aeroderivative and renewable. Performed in a number of roles including European Managing Director of a $70m group focused on Maintenance technologies, the emphasis being placed on revenue growth through innovation and the management of change. Obtained an MBA from Lancaster University in 1998 with a thesis on ‘The Quest For World-Class Service Delivery in Europe’. With a strong mechanical engineering background and a particularly extensive knowledge of Predictive and Planned Maintenance Systems and their implementation. Fisher has specialized in the practical application of Criticality and Reliability analysis techniques to establish Production and Maintenance Optimization gains.
