SKF demonstrates trusted products, services and expertise at Automechanika 2016

The SKF vehicle aftermarket team will be at Automechanika 2016 (hall 4.0, stand D11) presenting its latest products, services and expertise to help customers work professionally and efficiently.
Gothenburg, Sweden, 25 July 2016: The SKF vehicle aftermarket team will be attending Automechanika 2016 with an interactive and educational booth to demonstrate its latest products, tools and services designed to facilitate vehicle repairs and to provide support for customers.

New packaging design helps lighten the load for customers
The new packaging design for vehicle aftermarket products was launched in April, and customers will start to see it on their shelves during the second half of 2016. Automechanika will be used to showcase the new design and demonstrate some of its benefits for customers. In addition to the design itself, box sizes and configurations have been standardized. Fewer variations in size and reduced air inside the boxes make it easier for customers to handle, ship and store the different SKF products.
Trusted products aid customers with accurate repairs and wider market reach
SKF will be displaying several of its key products and latest innovations for the vehicle aftermarket. Technical experts are on hand at the booth to perform demonstrations and offer advice to visitors. Timing chain kits were added to the engine range late last year and, with an ever-growing car parc equipped with chain technology, this addition will enable customers to reach a wider range of vehicle owners.
Earlier this year, two new tool sets were launched to allow easy mounting and dismounting of compact HBU 2.1 bearing units of all sizes. These products have been designed to save mechanics space and money and to help carry out repairs accurately, without damaging the wheel bearing hub unit itself. The SKF aftermarket tool range now covers engine, driveline and wheel end products. SKF experts on the booth will be open to discussions and offering information about popular wheel end, engine and driveline products, such as timing belt kits, Speedi-Sleeves, CV-Joint kits, boot kits and loose engine parts for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
SKF will also be displaying its Lincoln-branded solutions for the vehicle service industry in a separate booth in hall 9.1, stand E79 (US Pavilion) during the event. Key products include lubrication tools and equipment, hose reels and meters, pumps and accessories, used fluid systems and hand-held lubrication equipment. As a product novelty, SKF is introducing its Lincoln 12-volt, lithium-ion PowerLuber. Developed for quick, effortless application of lubricant, this grease tool is suitable for agricultural, automotive, construction, general maintenance and industrial applications.
SKF is prominent in the original equipment (OE) automotive market as a supplier of wheel end, suspension, engine and driveline solutions. The independent automotive aftermarket also benefits from the activity in the OE and, where possible, synergies are transferred in order to offer customers high-quality, expertly tested products with original specifications. To celebrate this, the 2015 Formula One Ferrari, installed with more than 150 SKF bearings, will be on display at the booth, and a competition for visitors has been arranged with the chance to win a special racing prize.
