SKF Machine Health - Development and Production Centre
SKF Machine Health - Development and Production Centre, formerly known as Diagnostic Instruments (DI), designs, develops and manufactures mobile industrial computers and application specific data collectors/analysers in the noise and vibration measurement field. They also supply production-testing products to detect quality defects in the manufacture of mechanical components and assemblies.
Their experience in designing to Intrinsically Safe (IS) requirements has given the company a market leading position in IS data collector design. To date business has mainly been through original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and product designs include rugged industrial enclosures, electronics and firmware.
In June 2000, DI was acquired by the SKF Group; and in March 2015 they rebranded to SKF Machine Health - Development and Production Centre to reflect their status as a 'Centre of Excellence' within the Group for handheld instrumentation solutions.
