The SKF Group is the leading global supplier of products, customer solutions, and services in the rolling bearing, seals, mechatronics and lubrications systems business.

The Group’s main competencies include technical support, maintenance services, condition monitoring and training. SKF also holds an increasingly important position in the market for linear motion products, as well as high precision bearings, spindles and spindle services for the machine tool industry.

In 1911, SKF’s first factory outside Sweden was constructed in Luton, England. Over the years, the factory has seen many changes, and today its core activity is the production of SKF Explorer spherical roller bearings and CARB toroidal roller bearings.

Apart from its manufacturing facility in Luton, SKF (U.K.) Limited is also responsible for the sales of rolling bearings, seals, and associated products and services to customers throughout the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

Throughout the UK, SKF industrial branded products and services are available from Antifriction Components, Brammer, BRT Bearings, ERIKS and Sprint Engineering Services, who together have over 200 strategically placed branches.

In the Republic of Ireland, SKF is available from Dickson Bearings and Transmissions, E. Fox (Engineers), ERIKS and Rotate.

Other SKF Group companies located in the UK include Pilgrim International and SKF Sealing Solutions.

The Group has a global IS0 14001 environmental certification. The various Divisions have been approved for quality certification in accordance with either ISO 9000 or QS 9000.
