SKF Speedi-Sleeve prevents seal worn shafts

Worn shaft sealing problems? £15 of prevention is worth £600 of cure with SKF Speedi-Sleeve*

SKF Speedi-Sleeve new generation
SKF Speedi-Sleeve

SKF Speedi-Sleeve is a well-proven solution to overcome seal worn shafts without having to disassemble the shaft or specify a new seal size, while still offering an excellent sealing surface.
To seal effectively, radial shaft seals must run against a smooth, round counterface - most often a shaft. If the shaft becomes worn, the seal will no longer be able to retain lubricant and exclude contaminants.

By fitting SKF Speedi-Sleeve to a new or freshly reground shaft, the new surface is protected from the start.

The proprietary stainless steel material provides an optimised sealing counterface that is better than many shafts, minimising wear to both the sleeve and sealing lip. This also means that shafts can be ground to a lower finish, saving time and money, and when the sleeve eventually wears out, it is much faster and simpler to replace this than to replace or remachine the entire shaft.
