Adjusted bearing arrangement

In an adjusted bearing arrangement, the shaft is located axially in one direction by one bearing support and in the opposite direction by the other. This bearing arrangement is referred to as cross-located and is generally used for short shafts. The most suitable bearings are:
  • angular contact ball bearings (fig. 1)
  • tapered roller bearings (fig. 2)
