Equivalent dynamic bearing load

The load can be inserted directly into the equation for the Specific bearing load p if the magnitude of the load is constant and if the load acting on:
  • radial and angular contact spherical plain bearings is purely radial
  • thrust spherical plain bearings is purely axial
  • rod ends is purely radial and in the direction of the shank axis
In all other cases it is necessary to calculate the equivalent dynamic bearing load P. If the magnitude of the load is not constant, use the equation provided in the section Variable load and sliding velocity.
