Vane pumps are often used in circulating lubrication systems to pump the oil back into the reservoir if the natural gradient of the return line is insufficient.
Unlike gear pumps, they also feed oil/air mixtures. They have better suction characteristics than gear pumps.
The maximum length of the suction line is 3 m for these pumps. However, the back pressure for models used for lubrication purposes is limited to 0.6 Mpa. They operate without valves or with valves so as to achieve a constant direction of delivery when the direction of rotation changes.
