Defining and measuring success

This phase involves evaluating work activities and defining parameters by which success will ultimately be measured. Key to success is identifying the most critical assets, and then moving from reactive to predictive and proactive maintenance strategies. It is important to decide the optimum maintenance strategy for each asset, including the frequency, type, responsible discipline, and combination of condition monitoring and personal inspections to eliminate recurring issues and their causes of failure.
