Scotseals for light duty trucks
Proven as an industry standard in the heavy duty industry, the Scotseal Classic consists of three sealing lips; a spring-loaded primary sealing lip that is factory pre-lubed, a dirt exclusion lip, and an outer bumper lip that acts as a preliminary dirt excluder. The Scotseal Classic maintains a metal-to-metal contact between the seal O.D. and the hub bore surface as well as a metal-to-metal contact between the packing I.D. and the spindle. The seal O.D. is coated with Bore Tite, which provides a better seal than a simple metal-to-metal press fit.
The SKF Scotseal PlusXL is the most advanced generation Scotseal wheel seal and is the preferred choice among many OE truck and trailer manufacturers. The Scotseal PlusXL features an advanced new HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) material that resists wheel end temperatures up to 300º F and offers broad compatibility with synthetic lubricants. Additionally, the Scotseal PlusXL is hand installable, eliminating the need for special size tools.
