At EMO Milano 2015, SKF will be displaying a wide range of solutions designed to help equipment in machine tool applications run faster, longer and cleaner.
Gothenburg, Sweden, 29 September 2015: SKF, the knowledge engineering company, will be showcasing a wide range of its high performance, sustainable, reliable, and high load solutions for applications in the machine tools industry at EMO Milano 2015.
The SKF solutions on show are designed to enable equipment used in machine tool applications to run faster, longer and cleaner.
Commenting on SKF’s attendance at EMO Milano 2015, Davide Giordana, Global Machine Tool Segment Manager at SKF, said: “Visitors to the SKF exhibition stand can see how SKF solutions can increase machining speed and accuracy for faster production, reduce operational costs by minimizing maintenance and improve environmental performance of machining operations.”
SKF super-precision bearings can accommodate a high level of running accuracy at high to extremely high speed. The latest range of cost-effective super-precision angular contact ball bearings in the S70..W series offers high-speed capabilities together with silent running and lower vibration levels. The typical applications are medium-high volume machines such as woodworking machines, transfer machines, small machining centres and tool grinding machines.
Visitors will also be able to see the new series of single row super-precision cylindrical roller bearings, well suited for applications as high-speed milling machines, high-speed machining centres, lathe electro-spindles and double row super-precision cylindrical roller bearings, suitable in conventional high stiffness belt-driven CNC lathe spindles.
Furthermore, featured solutions include SKF solutions for swiveling tables that combine a full range of SKF competencies: SKF super-precision axial-radial cylindrical roller bearings NRT series for high accuracy, high loads and reduced noise levels, together with advanced sealing solutions for contamination prevention.
Visitors will also be able to see lubrication systems such as the SKF Compact Greaser ETP, which automatically supplies lubricant to up to five lube points.
Among plenty more advanced and market leading solutions, the SKF stand will feature a number of environmentally friendly products from the SKF BeyondZero portfolio*. This includes the SKF LubriLean Minimal Quantity Lubrication (MQL) System, which significantly reduces oil consumption and CO2 emissions while increasing productivity and enabling energy savings to be made, and SKF super-precision hybrid bearings for extended service life.
In addition, SKF will also be displaying a selection of its solutions for effectively managing assets throughout their lifecycle. Solutions on show include the SKF Microlog Analyzer GX CMXA 75 with spindle assessment kit for faster and more comprehensive data collection and a variety of sealing solutions that provide outstanding chemical and hydrolysis resistance and high wear and abrasion resistance.
EMO is the largest international trade show for the machine too industry, with an estimated 150,000 visitors expected to attend from around the world. This year’s event takes place on 5-10 October 2015 in Milan, Italy. Visitors will find SKF in Hall 3 at Stand L15-H16.
*The SKF BeyondZero product portfolio contains products that offer enhanced environmental performance characteristics. To be included in the SKF BeyondZero portfolio, SKF products, services and solutions must deliver significant environmental benefits.
