SKF Australia awards PROK Conveyor Components SKF Equipped Status

SKF has entered a long-term strategic supply partnership with PROK, a leading Australian conveyor OEM. This new SKF Equipped Programme is the first of its kind for SKF in Australia and marks over 40 years of association between the two companies.
Gothenburg, Sweden, 6th August 2019: Under the terms of this new SKF Equipped Programme agreement, SKF has secured a supply contract with PROK for a range of components. Included within this are deep groove ball bearings for PROK’s conveyor idler units, plus Explorer Class spherical roller bearings in sealed and non-sealed versions, together with various sleeves and housings for PROK’s conveyor pulley offering.
These SKF components have been chosen by PROK for their proven performance in the latter’s own equipment. As well as their wider successful applications in other environmentally challenging quarrying, mining, steel and similar heavy industrial operations throughout the world.
PROK Conveyor Components Pty Ltd is part of NEPEAN Conveyors and has a long history of manufacturing high quality conveyor components for local and international markets dating back to 1948. The company is renowned for its highly durable, heavy-duty conveyor components, including its conveyor roller offering for which SKF has supplied a variety of bearings in a relationship that goes back more than 40 years.
With products that are now recognised as setting the standard throughout the mining and heavy bulk materials handling industries, PROK have designed and manufactured conveyor components for mines, ports and large industrial plants throughout Australasia, and the Americas.
