Insert bearing designs

The SKF ball bearing take-up unit assortment comprises insert bearing series and designs, with the main differences being in the way the bearing is locked onto the shaft and in the different sealing solutions.

Eccentric locking methods available as standard for ball bearing take-up units are:

Sealing solutions

The insert bearings used in the standard assortment of ball bearing take-up units are capped with either:
  • standard seals (fig. 3)
  • standard seals with additional flingers (fig. 4)
  • multiple seals (fig. 5)
  • food-compatible gutter seals and flingers (fig. 6)
On request, insert bearings can be supplied capped with either:
